Expert Addresses Hate Speech at NMU

NMU College Democrats and College Republicans will co-sponsor a presentation titled "Hate Speech: A Lecture by the Heritage Foundation's Arthur Milikh." The event will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Jamrich 1322. It is free and open to the public. NMU's Center for Academic and Intellectual Freedom is hosting the talk. 

A leading expert in the topic of hate speech and its relation to the freedom of speech, Milikh will explain how the idea of hate speech operates in today's society. He is the Heritage Foundation's associate director and a research fellow. The presentation will be followed by ample time for questions and answers from members of both sponsoring student organizations.

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to come and join in the conversation. Light refreshments will be served.
