Northern Michigan University's Technical and Office Professionals union, UAW Local 1950, has ratified a new contract effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. The unit has 87 employees. Of those who voted, 59% were in favor of the agreement.
Terms include a $2.50 per hour increase to base wages in year one and increased wage minimums. There will also be a 2% increase in year two, and a 2% increase in year three.
The contract is pending approval by the NMU Board of Trustees at a June meeting.
