Northern Michigan University will continue its Science on Tap series at Ore Dock Brewing Company with a presentation by NMU Biology Professor Kurt Galbreath titled “Where the Wild Things Are: Discovering Mongolia's Hidden Diversity." The event begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.
Galbreath will explore the biodiversity of the mammals and parasites of Mongolia, and what those organisms have to tell us about the history of the North American host-parasite communities that assembled over thousands to millions of years. He will also discuss the challenges and joys of doing fieldwork across the rugged and remote Mongolian landscape, and the rewards of international collaboration.
