Marquette, Mich. - (Jan. 5, 2021) – The Northern Michigan University Alumni Association continues Northern Now, a monthly digital event series for alumni and friends on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. Eastern with a panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence. The panelists include Dr. Jeffrey Horn, associate professor of Computer Science at NMU, Anna Martin, a 2020 Computer Science graduate and a current graduate student at University of Minnesota Duluth, and Adam Kall, a 2018 Computer Science graduate and current director of technology at Kall Morris Inc., aiming to be the first company with a commercially viable product for collecting debris in orbit.
Each with different perspectives on the topic, the panelists will discuss the trend of machine learning and consequences on the job market, particularly pertaining to jobs in the Computer Science field.
Attendees will be able to ask questions to the panelists live. The event is free and registration is required. Attendees register here and will receive the link to the live stream.
