Kendall Burmeister of Menominee, Mich., has been named the Northern Michigan University School of Clinical Sciences 2020-21 outstanding graduating senior.
Burmeister is graduating in May with a degree in speech, language and hearing sciences. With a 4.0 grade-point average, Burmeister has had many clinical opportunities while attending NMU. She is a member of the Mortar Board and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.
Burmeister will attend graduate school to pursue speech-language pathology, with an emphasis on a career in medical or rehabilitation settings. She has a special interest in communication disorders caused by stroke. In her spare time, Burmeister enjoys hiking, searching for beach glass and pampering her cat.
