The I Share NMU campaign team, whose goal was "to help students who need food to get a hot meal or the ability to make one" was one of Northern Michigan University's 2022 Distinguished Team Award recipients.
Chair Michael Harrington was joined by fellow Criminal Justice colleagues Bob Hanson, Nikki Loehr, Lexie Belles and John Eagle, along with Haley Rhoades, formerly of the Dean of Students Office.
The I Share NMU campaign encouraged students and faculty to donate CatCash for students in need. Through the team's efforts, $4,385 was collected to be able to purchase 438 meal cards for students in need.
“NMU is indeed a warm, friendly, acting and helpful place. Many departments collaborated together to make all of this possible,” stated the nomination.
