Calmus

One of Germany's most successful vocal groups, Calmus, will showcase its wide range of tonal colors and sound culture in a performance at Northern Michigan University on Friday, April 21. This Siril Concert Series event begins at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall.

The five singers perform more than 50 concerts a year and are influenced by the tradition of the old masters of Leipzig, where they are from. They specialize in the vocal music of the Renaissance, Baroque and Romantic periods. Calmus has won several international prizes and competitions, and most recently, the OPUS Klassik 2019 for "Best Choral Recording.”
