Harvey is New Middle School Principal

Kami Harvey

NMU alumna Kami Harvey will begin her newly appointed role of Southern Door (Wis.) Middle School principal on Aug. 1. She began her career as a 1st-grade teacher in Michigan, and has accumulated more than 24 years of experience in education.

Door County Pulse story indicated that her previous roles included teaching middle school math, language arts and science in the Menasha and Kimberly school districts. She has also served as an instructional literacy and social studies coach for the past eight years in the Green Bay and Appleton-area school districts. 

Harvey earned her bachelor's of science degree in education, with minors in math and science, from NMU. She also holds a master's in reading education and a teacher and reading specialist licensure from UW-Oshkosh. She recently completed coursework for director of instruction and principal licensure from Cardinal Stritch University.
