L.A. Tech Entrepreneur Speaks at NMU

Kimball

The Northern Michigan University College of Business will host a public presentation titled “Battling the Giants: Disruptive Strategies in the High Stakes Business of Technology” by guest speaker Kelly Kimball. It will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in room 1322 Jamrich Hall.  

Kimball is a technology entrepreneur and political strategist, business consultant and lecturer. He has pioneered new business enterprises and grew them to dominant positions in their newly created marketplaces. He has lectured at numerous colleges and universities on politics and entrepreneurship and is currently outlining a book on disruptive business strategies.

As the founder and executive chairman of Vitu, Kimball's responsibilities include the creation and execution of public affairs/political strategies, banking, finance and private equity strategies. 

Kimball also has a long history of political involvement both as a professional consultant and as a private citizen. He and his wife, Carla, increasingly focus most of their attention on women's issues.  They are involved in developing the F5 Collective, a multi-focused effort to fund women candidates at all levels.
