Memphis Symphony Flutist Performs at NMU

Sadberry

Adam Sadberry, flutist in the Memphis Symphony, will perform at Northern Michigan University as part of the 2021-22 Siril Concert Series. His performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 in Reynolds Recital Hall.

Sadberry's music can be heard on the soundtrack of Disney's The Lion King (2019). As a soloist, he has played with the Clear Lake Symphony, Conroe Symphony Orchestra, Cordancia Chamber Orchestra and the Detroit Chamber Orchestra.

He creates “musical journalism” through his classical music by promoting equity, representation, music education and commissioning music that tells stories of Black diaspora.

He also teaches as his private studio and mentors through non-profit organizations that provide free private lessons and resources to underserved communities.

This event is $12 for the general public and free for NMU students and children younger than 12 years of age. Masks are required for all individuals while inside NMU facilities.
