Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an “exhaustive peer-review evaluation.” Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed. This year's awards featured record-breaking voter participation. More than 3.2 million evaluations were collected for the 31st edition of The Best Lawyers in America, with about 79,000 honorees selected; and more than 1.2 million for the fifth edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, with nearly 27,000 honorees selected.
Millenbach is one of 41 Foster Swift attorneys honored for legal excellence in their respective practice areas in the latest edition. Another distinction he achieved was being selected to the “Leaders of the Law Class of 2022 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly (MiLW).
According to his online bio, Millenbach “has a diverse practice built on 30-plus years of experience and an unwillingness to turn down a case.” He began his career at a boutique firm in Bloomfield Hills specializing in transportation regulatory cases. The firm merged into Foster Swift in 1991 and, except for several years at a plaintiff personal injury firm, he has remained at Foster Swift ever since.
Millenbach's practice includes Michigan No-Fault (PIP and third party), transportation and logistics, mass tort defense and commercial litigation. He is admitted in Michigan, along with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and a Board member of the Detroit Bar Association, which he served as president from 2022-2023. He is also a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation and the Detroit Bar Foundation.
Committed to keeping clients abreast of changes in the law, Millenbach frequently speaks to a variety of groups, including transportation industry leaders, health care financial officers, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, insurance companies and attorneys.
