NCLL Hosts Brain Health Program

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Brain Functions: Exercise for a Healthy Mind,” a program about how the brain works and how to keep it healthy with age. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in the community room of Peter White Public Library.

Participants will hear from two experts in the field: Dr. Sonia Geschwindt, neurosurgeon; and Dr. Julianne Kirkham, neuropsychologist. In addition to learning about the structure of the brain and specific functions, mental and physical activities to promote continued health and sharpness will be demonstrated.

There is no cost to attend. To register, call 227-2979 by Monday, Feb. 3. For more information, call event liaison Paula McCormick at 228-5489.
