Lynn Domina, Northern Michigan University English department head and professor, is launching a new webinar series titled "Let's Talk Books at NMU" on Friday, Jan. 21. Each month, she will invite a scholar with a recently published book to join her for a discussion of their work. The webinars will be held at 1 p.m. the third Friday of each month. The public is invited to join.
The Jan. 21 event features Larry Nesper, a professor at the University of Wisconsin. He will discuss his book, Our Relations...the Mixed Bloods: Indigenous Transformation and Dispossession in the Western Great Lakes, published last year by SUNY Press. Join via the Zoom link, with passcode 377912.

Okawa, author of Remembering Our Grandfathers' Exile: US Imprisonment of Hawai'i's Japanese in World War II on Feb. 18; Melissa Homestead, author of The Only Wonderful Things: The Creative Partnership of Willa Cather and Edith Lewis on March 18; and Katie Booth, author of The Invention of Miracles: Language, Power, and Alexander Graham Bell's Quest to End Deafness on April 15.
