Northern Michigan University Alumni Relations will host Alumni Fridays in Marquette County this summer. The NMU community is invited to join at various locations to connect, socialize and network with fellow Wildcats during Happy Hour. Additionally, alumni are invited to go back in time with a historical walking tour or discover campus with a virtual scavenger hunt.
Lively Happy Hours will take place at The Landmark Inn on Friday, June 14; The Mather Inn on Friday, July 12; and Blackrocks Brewery on Friday, August 23. All events will take place from 4:30–6:30 p.m. and are open to all alumni and friends. Registration is encouraged, but not required. Those who register in advance will be entered into a drawing to win NMU-themed prizes. A cash bar will be available.
Dan Truckey '90 BS, director/curator of the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, will guide two 60-minute historic walking tours of NMU's campus at 11 a.m. on June 14 and July 12. Guests will meet at the Carillon Towers, conveniently situated next to the Northern Center parking lot. Registration is required.
Alumni and friends visiting campus this summer can also take a walk down memory lane or see how campus has changed with a virtual scavenger hunt. The photo scavenger hunt can be done anytime this summer and participants can tag NMU Alumni on social media for a chance to win an NMU swag bag. Learn more.
