Northern Michigan University held its third NMU Day of Giving on Dec. 3. The event raised more than $850,000, nearly double the total from last year. More than half of the gifts went to support scholarships, about $100,000 directly to departments and the remainder to designated programs and greatest need.
The NMU Food Pantry received more than 2,600 items–a 24% increase over last year –along with more than $6,000 in cash donations, a 110% increase over 2019.
The NMU Foundation is pleased to report that, once again, alumni and friends from across the country, community members, university employees and students were inspired to help increase opportunities and expand critical access and aid at NMU.
