Due to the inclement weather, the Northern Michigan University Orchestra Children's Concert scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, in Reynolds Recital Hall. Admission is free.
The NMU orchestra's family-friendly event will be performed under the direction of Northern's university orchestra director, Barbara Rhyneer. Catering to a youthful, adventurous music taste, the orchestra will feature single-movement selections such as Gustav Holst's “Mars, from the Planets,” and Hans Zimmer's “Pirates of the Caribbean,” demonstrating the various sections and instruments within the orchestra.
