'North of 45th' Art Exhibit Seeks Entries

Entries for the annual "North of the 45th" juried exhibition at Northern Michigan University's DeVos Art Museum are due by March 22. Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin residents who live north of the 45th parallel and are 18 or older are invited to submit works.

Work must have originated within the past three years and can be submitted by creating an account at http://devos.slideroom.com/. A $20 fee will be assessed at the time of submission. 

The Jurors' Choice award recipient will receive a $500 prize. Other awards include Audience Choice and Permanent Collection Acquisition Award. 

John Foster will be judging the submissions. Foster is an educator, graphic designer, painter, photographer and collector and scholar of art brut, photography and self-taught art. 

Foster's decisions will be sent via email on May 2. Accepted artwork is due at the DeVos Art Museum by 5 p.m., June 8. The Exhibition will be displayed June 21-July 29.
