Northern Now Features Theater and Dance Alumni

The Northern Michigan University Alumni Association will host a "Callback" panel of theater and dance alumni for its next Northern Now digital series event on Wednesday, Jan. 12. The following panelists will provide insights on how their education at NMU prepared them for their careers in various areas of the industry, reminisce about projects they worked on during their time as students and share their plans for the future:

  • Michael Detroit '85, executive producer of Playhouse on the Square, a 52-year-old non-profit professional resident theatre company located in Memphis, Tenn.
  • Janel Rayome '04, administrative director of Ballet Tech, a school of intensive classical dance training in New York City
  • Kelly Moscinski '07, ‘09 owner and head of casting at The Voicecaster, the first voiceover casting company in the country
  • Travis Moscinski '09, professional actor/voice actor and co-owner of The Voicecaster, an LA-based casting and recording studio

Bill Digneit ‘08, department head and co-director of NMU Theatre and Dance, and Jill Grundstrom '04, '20, assistant professor and co-director of NMU Theatre and Dance, will moderate the event and share audience questions live with the artists. The event is free and registration is required at nmu.edu/alumniassociation/events to receive the link to the live stream.
