The meeting is specifically for those interested in attending the Regional Police Academy beginning in May 2020.

The curriculum covers such topics as firearms, precision driving, police and defensive tactics, domestic violence, traffic enforcement, criminal law and other law enforcement areas. At the successful completion of academy training, a recruit becomes licensable as a police officer through the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES).
