NMU's new online applied science in management degree completion program offers anyone with an associate degree in ski area operations/business management the option to complete the bachelor's degree online, except for a one-week residency capstone course during the off-season in Marquette. The program and its director, Brian Zinser of the College of Business, are referenced in the latest issue of NSAA Journal, published by the National Ski Areas Association.
At least 10 universities and colleges that offer ski resort-focused curricula are a key to replenishing upper management staff vacancies created by a wave of retirements, according to the “Ski School Update” story in the magazine. The NSAA Journal is a bi-monthly trade publication dedicated to covering all aspects of the ski resort industry.
