Wildcat Theatre Follies at NMU Sept. 5-6

A performance from the 2023 Wildcat Theatre Follies

Northern Michigan University Theatre & Dance will present its annual Wildcat Theatre Follies, which showcases a broad array of performance talents from freshmen and sophomores in the program, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6. The event will take place in Forest Roberts Theatre and include artistic productions varying from dramatic scenes and monologues to song and dance routines as a celebration of Northern's rising performance arts stars.

“Wildcat Theatre Follies is a fantastic way to show off the growth of our second-year students after one year in the program, and also as a 'coming out party' for our first-year students, to put a shot across the bow of everyone here announcing their talent and drive,” said co-director Jimmy Ludwig, who is orchestrating the event alongside co-director Paul Truckey. "This first-year class is our biggest in history."

The Thursday night show will be followed by an opening night party—included with ticket purchases for the production—with complimentary food and beverages, a photo booth, and meet and greet with performers and creative team. Tickets are available at the NMU tickets website; prices are $25 for the general public, $15 for youth, $22 for Northern employees, seniors, and military, and $5 for Northern students.
