Alumnus Reappointed to Craft Beverage Council

NMU alumnus Richard Anderson ('78 MA) of Thompsonville has been reappointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to represent small distillers on the Michigan Craft Beverage Council. He is a partner and co-founder of Iron Fish Distillery.

In addition to his NMU degree, Anderson holds a a bachelor's in urban planning from Michigan State University. His term on the council expires Sept. 30, 2024. 

According to its website, the Michigan Craft Beverage Council supports a hard-working, collaborative industry with deep agricultural roots. It provides resources and opportunities that connect growers and producers, reinforcing Michigan as a world-class craft beverage destination.

Industry-led and engaged, the council works collectively to guide important research and promote the growth of the craft beverage sector.
