Brooks NMU's Top Applied Workplace Leadership Grad

Jeffery Brooks of Monroe, Mich., has been named the Northern Michigan University School of Education, Leadership and Public Service 2020-21 outstanding graduating senior from the Applied Workplace Leadership program. Brooks is graduating May 1 with a 3.95 grade-point average. 

Brooks is currently a supervisor at the Fermi Nuclear Power Plant. Following graduation, he plans to enroll in a graduate program to continue developing his leadership skills. 

Brook's student biography for the award notes that he “demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement in each AWL course, consistently connecting readings and discussions to his leadership role in the workplace.”

NMU's virtual commencement will be held at 10 a.m. EST Saturday, May 1. Bryan Terrell Clark, a Broadway performer who played George Washington in Hamilton, will be the keynote speaker. Learn more about commencement and access a link to watch it live at www.nmu.edu/commencement.
