Northern Michigan University is featured prominently in a Forbes article titled "Cannabis Education Arrives (Virtually) At More American Universities." NMU recently announced its partnership with Green Flower to offer non-credit online certificate programs beginning July 1.

The programs delve into the following cannabis-specific topics: business; agriculture and horticulture; law and policy; and health care and medicine. For more information, or to register, visit https://nmu.cannabisstudiesonline.com/.

The online certificates follow NMU's established bachelor's degree program in medicinal plant chemistry. When it made its debut in fall 2017, it was the only four-year degree of its kind to combine experimental horticulture and advanced analytical chemistry with an optional entrepreneurial track.
