The Northern Michigan University French program presents its 12th annual classic silent horror film with grand piano accompaniment at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Ontario room of the Northern Center. The film to be shown this year is The Hunchback of Notre Dame, accompanied by Bob Buckhoe on piano.

The 1923 film is the screen adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel, Notre-Dame de Paris. The Parisian cathedral that inspired Hugo's novel suffered significant fire damage earlier this year. The film will be shown to pay homage to the cathedral as it undergoes repair.
