NCLL Offers Talk on Phil Niemisto Statue

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning presents "Creation of the Phil Niemisto Statue" from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center, lower level of the Peter White Public Library. The advance registration deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 27.

This program will feature the story of downtown Marquette's prior resident window washer, Phil Niemisto, and how his statue came to be an eternal landmark in Pocket Park on Washington Street. Artist and inventor Earl Senchuk will discuss the creation of the statue and Phil's involvement in it.
