Through a new “Claim Your Seat” campaign, Northern Michigan University is offering name plaques for $1,000 on eligible seats in the Berry Events Center for anyone looking to support Wildcat hockey.
“For more than 50 years, Wildcat hockey has been a staple of Marquette life, and we wanted to provide people with a special way to support it while also honoring those contributions publicly,” said Bethany Perala, director of donor appeals and stewardship. “Now, anyone who loves the tradition of Wildcat hockey can help continue its legacy by adding their own name, honoring someone special to them, or even commemorating a Wildcat who made a lasting impact on their lives, on a seat in the Berry.”
Eligible seats will be available through the “Claim Your Seat” campaign during the 2026-2027 Wildcat hockey season. Following the end of the season, plaques bearing the names and/or tributes submitted through the campaign will be placed on designated seats, with a goal to have all recognitions in place in time for the start of the 2027-2028 hockey season.
Claiming a seat does not include season tickets, which can still be purchased separately.
