NMU Hosts Annual Children's Art Exhibition

Past children's exhibition

Northern Michigan University's DeVos Art Museum will host its annual children's art exhibition from May 5-26. A reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, to celebrate talented elementary student artists and the educators who make the exhibition possible. It is free and open to the public.

The exhibition celebrates local educational institutions that support art programs for their students. Organized by local art teachers, the its features talented young artists' work in all media.

Schools represented include:

  • AuTrain-Onota Public School

  • Father Marquette Catholic Academy

  • Gwinn Area Community Schools (Gilbert Elementary School and K.I. Sawyer Elementary School)

  • Ishpeming Public Schools (Birchview Elementary School)

  • Marquette Area Public Schools (Graveraet Elementary)

  • Negaunee Public Schools (Lakeview Elementary School)

  • Nice Community Schools (Aspen Ridge Elementary School)

  • North Star Montessori Academy

  • Powell Township School
