Northern Michigan University’s Career Services will give students a chance to beef up their résumés and even have professional photos taken at Career Week, set for Monday, Oct. 1-Thursday, Oct. 11.
Career Week will feature activities and workshops geared toward professional student development and is open to students of all majors at no cost. The purpose is to help NMU students acquire what it takes to make it from college to career. The schedule of events is as follows:
Monday, Oct. 1, 6-8 p.m. - Resume Lab, Woods Classroom
Tuesday, Oct. 2, 11 a.m to 3 p.m. - Pop-Up Career Closet, Jamrich Hall Commons Area
Tuesday, Oct. 2, 4 p.m. - Skillbuilder: Writing Great Resumes and Cover Letters, Room 2303 Hedgcock
Wednesday, Oct. 3, Noon to 2 p.m. - Majors Expo, Main Level of LRC
Thursday, Oct. 4, 6 p.m. - Skillbuilder: Job Fair Prep, Room 2303 Hedgcock
Friday, Oct. 5, Noon to 2 p.m. - FREE Professional Headshots Photo Opp, Career Services Office, Room 3302.3 Hedgcock
Wednesday, Oct. 10, Noon to 2 p.m. - Resume Lab, Student Success Center in The Woods residence hall
Thursday, Oct. 11, 6:30 p.m. - What Not to Wear Workshop, Room TBD
