Paige Sullivan of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., has been named the Northern Michigan University School of Education, Leadership and Public Service 2020-21 outstanding graduating senior from the education program. On May 1, she will earn her elementary education degree, which has a mathematics concentration.
Sullivan has made the Dean's List for academic achievement eight consecutive semesters and has exhibited both campus and community involvement. She has held leadership positions in numerous student-led organizations, including serving as president of Future Teachers of America, historian for Mu Beta Psi—a national honorary musical fraternity—and secretary of NMU's Education Club. Sullivan's volunteer work with Relay for Life, the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum and Moosewood Nature Center earned her an Outstanding Service Award from Mu Beta Psi.
NMU's virtual commencement will be held at 10 a.m. EST Saturday, May 1. Bryan Terrell Clark, a Broadway performer who played George Washington in Hamilton, will be the keynote speaker. Learn more about commencement and access a link to watch it live at www.nmu.edu/commencement.
