Andexler Honored for Commitment to Science Advocacy

Northern Michigan University master's candidate Noah Andexler is one of 20 graduate students nationwide selected to receive the Ecological Society of America's (ESA) 2026 Katherine S. McCarter Graduate Student Policy Award for their demonstrated commitment to science advocacy. This prestigious program is designed to bridge the gap between rigorous ecological research and impactful environmental policy.

Marquette Native is NMU Executive in Residence

Northern Michigan University's College of Business will host alumnus and Marquette native Todd Gustafson, who serves as president and CEO of Kinexus Group, as its Executive in Residence March 16-17. In addition to visiting classrooms, he will participate in an evening community reception and talk at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Northern Center. The event will feature appetizers and a cash bar.

NMU Holds Information Session About Missing Student

The Marquette Police Department ended the official search for Northern Michigan University construction management student Trenton Massey at 4 p.m. Wednesday. NMU had held an information session for the campus community earlier that day to address the university's involvement in the effort, advice related to self-care during stressful situations and an overview of available well-being resources.
